Appointments & Billing
Wyndham Vale Health Care is a bulk billing clinic.
Wyndham Vale Health Care offers both booked appointments and walk-in appointments. Dr Gutha and Dr Mereddy offer appointments.
An appointment is required to consult our gynaecologist/obstetrician, podiatrist, physiotherapist, dietitian, exercise physiologist and for ultrasound appointments.
When attending our clinic, please ensure you have your Medicare card with you and any Health Care Card/Pension Card/DVA Cards.
Doctor consultations at Wyndham Vale Health Care are bulk billed for holders of a current Medicare card.
Patients who do not hold a current Medicare card will be billed the following:
- Standard consultations (item number 53 or 23) are $47.00
- Long consultations (item 54 or 36) are $80.00
- Prolonged consultations (item 57 or 44) are $115.00
Patients without a current Medicare card who consult the general physician are asked to speak with our friendly reception staff regarding the fees payable for these specialists prior to the appointment.
Patients without a current Medicare card are requested to pay at the time of their consultation.
Gynaecology consultations are bulk billed for patients who hold a current and valid Medicare card and are able to be claimed via Medicare Australia.
Patients consulting the gynaecologist/obstetrician must have a valid referral to be bulk billed.
Patients who do not hold a current and valid Medicare card are charged $150.00 for an initial consultation and $100.00 for subsequent consultations.
Payment of the above fees for a patient without a current and valid Medicare card is expected to be paid at the time of the consultation.
Obstetric appointments are bulk billed for patients who hold a current and valid Medicare card. Patients consulting Dr Bhalerao require a current referral from their general practitioner.
Patients who do not hold a current and valid Medicare card will be charged a consultation fee of $150.00 for the initial consultation and $100.00 for subsequent consultations.
Payment of the above fees for a patient without a current and valid Medicare card is expected at the time of the consultation.
The doctors at Wyndham Vale Health Care may refer a patient to see a specialist, allied professional (dietitian, psychologist, audiologist, speech pathologist, podiatrist, physiotherapist, myotherapist, osteopath, etc.), or for radiography and pathology testing. Some specialists, allied health professionals, radiography, and pathology services may incur an out-of-pocket expense. At the time of making an appoinment for the above, you will be notified of any out-of-pocket expenses.
Pre-employment Medicals/VicRoads Medicals/Life Insurance Medicals are not covered by Medicare. A fee for this service is payable. Please speak with your doctor regarding the cost of these services.
Please contact Medicare Australia on 13 20 11 if your Medicare card has expired or is due to expire to arrange a replacement Medicare card.

BUPA Overseas Student Health Cover members and Allianz Overseas Student Health Cover members are requested to attend the clinic with their BUPA OSHC/Allianz OSHC membership card along with their school/university identification card when consulting a general practitioner at Wyndham Vale Health Care.
All consultation fees that are covered by your BUPA OSHC/Allianz OSHC membership will be billed directly to BUPA/Allianz on the day of your consultation.
